  • 4 slices slices bread Use sturdy bread like sourdough or ciabatta.
  • 2 tbsp softened butter Softened for easy spreading.
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Add to enhance flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Substitute with other cheeses like cheddar or provolone if desired.
  • 3 tbsp pizza sauce Your favorite brand works well.
  • 12 slices pepperoni Feel free to substitute with turkey pepperoni or crispy bacon.

Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder on the bread.
  5. Layer with mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, and pepperoni.
  6. Top with the other two slices of bread, butter side up.
  7. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping or a simple salad. These sandwiches are perfect finger foods for parties or game days. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
