Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break it up with a spatula as it cooks.
- In a large bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Whisk until combined, then add garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer the hash browns at the bottom of the greased baking dish. Evenly distribute the cooked sausage over the hash browns.
- Pour the egg mixture over everything in the baking dish, making sure it gets into every nook and cranny.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, giving it a generous layer.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow the casserole to set up nicely.
