Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Spoon into the cup and level for best texture.
  • 1 cup sugar
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk Room-temperature for better emulsion.
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted) Can substitute with equal amount of neutral oil.
  • 2 pieces eggs Use room-temperature eggs for better rise.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and sugar.
  3. Add the milk, melted butter, and eggs; stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

Serve slices plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze individual slices in airtight containers for up to 2 months.
