  • ½ cup sugar

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing your cucumbers and red onion into thin, even slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Gently toss the sliced cucumbers and onions in the vinegar mixture, ensuring all pieces are coated well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a sealable container or bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  5. Before serving, give everything a gentle stir and garnish with fresh dill if desired.

Notes

This salad is best when allowed to marinate in the refrigerator. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days and are best enjoyed cold. Taste and adjust the vinegar and sugar according to your preference.
