Ingredients
  

For the Dumpling Filling
  • 1 pack Dumpling wrappers Available at grocery stores or Asian markets.
  • 1 lb Ground meat (pork, chicken or plant-based alternative) Choose your preferred option.
  • 2 cups Cabbage, chopped Can be swapped for kale for a stronger flavor.
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped Adds zest.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Essential for flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce Enhances depth of flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil Adds nuttiness.
For Assembling Tacos
  • 8 pieces Taco shells Choose soft or hard shells based on preference.
  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped For topping.
  • 1 medium Avocado, sliced For topping.
  • to taste Sriracha For drizzling.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, chopped cabbage, onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well-blended.
  2. Take a dumpling wrapper and place a small spoonful of filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water and fold to seal.
Cooking Dumplings
  1. Heat a drizzle of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the dumplings in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  2. Add a splash of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Let the dumplings steam for 5-7 minutes until the filling is fully cooked.
Assembling Tacos
  1. Smash the warm dumplings gently before placing them in taco shells.
  2. Top with fresh cilantro, avocado, and a drizzle of sriracha.

Notes
