- Slice the rye bread into small rounds or squares. Toast lightly if desired, or use sturdy crackers.
- Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto each slice of bread or cracker.
- Top each with a slice of smoked salmon.
- Garnish with capers or cucumber slices.
- Arrange the canapés on a serving platter and serve immediately.
Notes
